The AMD Ryzen 7 5700 is an 8-core desktop processor. It is part of the Ryzen 7 lineup, utilizing the Zen 3 (Cezanne) architecture with the AM4 socket. Thanks to AMD Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT), the core count is effectively doubled to 16 threads.

The Ryzen 7 5700 features 16MB of L3 cache and operates at a base clock of 3.7GHz, with boost speeds reaching up to 4.6GHz depending on the workload. AMD manufactures the Ryzen 7 5700 on a 7nm production process using 10,700 million transistors. The chip's silicon die is fabricated at the TSMC foundry rather than at AMD. With an unlocked multiplier, the Ryzen 7 5700 allows for easy overclocking, enabling you to dial in your preferred frequencies with ease.

With a 65W TDP, the Ryzen 7 5700 consumes power levels typical for a modern desktop PC. This AMD processor supports dual-channel DDR4 memory. The highest officially supported memory speed is 3200 MT/s, though with overclocking (and the right memory modules), you can push speeds even higher.
